Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Friday the discovery of new natural gas reserves in the Black Sea, during exploration for hydrocarbons carried out by the Fatih drillship. It is estimated that the new discovered reserves reach 135,000 million cubic metres of gas, so that the total volume of natural gas discovered by Turkey in the Black Sea amounts to 540,000 million cubic metres. “We expect more good news from this region,” Erdoğan said.
