The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has confirmed that the high-speed train project between Ankara and Sivas is almost complete and will be inaugurated in a matter of weeks. The new high-speed train between the Turkish capital and the Anatolian city of Sivas, in central-eastern Turkey, will travel at 250 km/h, reducing to just 2 hours a journey that currently takes more than 6 hours by road and 12 hours by train. The new line will have 8 stations located along a 406 kilometer route.
