The remains of 17 French soldiers who died 107 years ago in the Gallipoli campaign were buried at the Morto Bay French Cemetery in Çanakkale National Park, Turkey, coinciding with the anniversary of the landing of the ANZAC forces. The remains were found during restoration works in this area, where an estimated 10,000 soldiers from France and its colonies died in World War I.
