Ayşe Yıldız has become the envy of her town after her son, a retired policeman, built her a handmade electric car in 6 months with his own hands, based on scrap metal and all kinds of objects. In total, the vehicle has cost less than 700 euros, and can travel a distance of 15 km on a single battery. “I’ve had trouble walking for a long time, I get tired especially when I have to go shopping. Now, I’m never tired thanks to my son,” says Ayşe proudly.
