The Turkish airline Pegasus, a private company and low cost airline from Turkey, transported more than 9 million passengers during the first quarter of 2025, 12% more than in the same period last year, registering a passenger load factor of 86.1% between January and March.
This is according to official data published by the private company and presented to the Istanbul Stock Exchange, as reported by Turkish news agencies, which indicate that 9.02 million passengers flew with the airline in the first three months of 2025, 5.72 million of whom were international passengers – with a year-on-year increase of 17% – and 3.3 million domestic (11% more).
In March alone, the total number of passengers increased by 10% compared to the same month last year, exceeding 3 million travellers, while the passenger load factor stood at 84.3%. In the same month, the number of international passengers grew by 17% to 1.9 million, while the number of domestic passengers grew by 10% to 1.11 million.
In 2024, Pegasus carried a total of 37.5 million passengers, 17% more than in 2023, while its revenues increased to 3.12 billion euros. The net profits of the low cost airline last year stood at 361 million euros, 54% less than the previous year. Pegasus currently has a fleet of 118 aircraft and flies to 148 destinations in 53 countries in Europe, Asia and North Africa.
