Erdoğan and Netanyahu meeting in New York City

Erdoğan and Netanyahu hold unusual meeting in New York

Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a rare meeting at the Turkish House in New York on Tuesday, the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since Netanyahu took office in 2022, amid a still nascent process of normalisation of relations between the two countries. Following the meeting, held in the framework of the UN Annual General Assembly, Erdoğan and Netanyahu agreed to visit Israel and Turkey, respectively, in the near future.
