A dense fog that covered Istanbul since early morning forced the closure of maritime traffic in the Bosphorus Strait, including ferry connections. In addition, the snowfall in many areas of Turkey caused complications and delays in flights departing from Istanbul Airport, due to the work to remove ice accumulated on planes.
