3 gendarmes died and 6 others were wounded on Thursday in the province of Sakarya, in the northwest of Turkey, due to a powerful explosion that occurred when the deceased transferred to a quarry part of the unexploded pyrotechnic material that caused a week ago another explosion in a factory in the same province, killing 4 workers. The explosion appeared to have occurred as the Gendarmerie bomb experts were unloading the latest material for its controlled detonation.
