Death toll from floods in northern Turkey rises to 71

According to the latest count of the emergency services, the death toll from the floods that have devastated the Black Sea region in northern Turkey already rises to 71 dead. Most of the victims have occurred in the province of Kastamonu, where at least 60 people lost their lives, while another 10 died in Sinop. Rescue teams continue to search for 47 people reported missing after the worst floodings in nearly a century in the region, that have destroyed infrastructures and seriously damaged more than 450 buildings.
