It is not football, nor is it golf: it is footgolf, a new sport that fuses both and in which the ball is hit with the feet to introduce it into 9 or 18 holes with the fewest number of strokes possible. This unique sport was born in Holland in 2009 and three World Cups have already been played; it arrived in Turkey 4 years ago, but it has quickly become very popular in the country due to its simplicity and the low cost of equipment; and even more during the pandemic, since contact between players is not necessary. Turkey already has its own footgolf association, and there are playing fields in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya and Bodrum where some 300 players practice this sport.
